The big guys continue to establish their foothold in the smart home market.
This time it's Samsung's turn to announce their first serious acquisition in the Smart Home market with their purchase SmartThings for a cool $200 million.
The 2 year old KICKSTATER project is an open smart home platform consisting of a hub along with several SmartThing devices and integration with Zigbee, Z-wave, Philips Hue and other Cloud connected devices.
I guess the theory goes if you can't create it then buy it.
